Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif chairs security council meeting in Riyadh. (SPA)


The Political and Security Council held its first meeting in Riyadh on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, second deputy premier and minister of interior, and discussed major security and political developments in the world.

Prince Mohammed thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for setting up the new council to discuss matters related to politics and security on the basis of specific strategies to safeguard the Kingdom’s interests.

“The meeting discussed the council’s mechanisms and major political and security issues as well as important regional and international developments,” an official statement carried by SPA said.
