Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud on Wednesday met with Maldivian President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayoom in his palace in the capital Riyadh, and discussed bilateral ties, the state-run Saudi Press Agency reported.

“During the session of talks, the two reviewed bilateral relations and discussed ways of enhancing cooperation in all fields in addition to the latest developments at Islamic and international arenas,” the SPA reported.

King Salman, who received the Maldivian president at the airport in Riyadh, later held a luncheon in the latter’s honor, attended by senior figures from both sides, including Saudi Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.
