After a proposal made by the crown prince, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz a royal order, joining the Crown Prince’s Court with the Royal Court.

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued on Thursday a royal order, joining the Crown Prince’s Court with the Royal Court, the state-run Saudi News Agency (SPA) reported.

SPA said the order was made after a proposal made by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, who is also deputy prime minister and interior minister, to merge the courts in a “single body.”

The king also ordered the “formation of a committee under the chairmanship of the chief of the Royal Court to complete the necessary procedures and submit recommendations in a maximum period of three months,” SPA said.

Saudi Arabia also approved on Friday the restructuring of the kingdom’s oil giant Aramco, a move that will see it separated from the oil ministry, sources told Al Arabiya News Channel.

The restructuring comes soon after King Salman announced a major government reshuffle.
