Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz al-Saud met with his Bahraini counterpart Prince Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa on Saturday in the Saudi capital Riyadh, the state-run Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud, who is the second deputy prime minister and minister of defense affairs, accompanied Prince Nayef, who is also deputy prime minister and interior minister.

Prince Hamad stressed the strategic and historic ties between the two countries, adding that strong relations between the two had helped strengthen collaboration across various areas, serving both their strategic goals and interests.

A number of senior Bahraini officials were with Prince Hamad, including his personal representative Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Khalifa and Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa.
