Several top companies are offering over 5,500 jobs here to graduates of the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM).

A total of 136 companies are participating in the university’s 32nd Career Fair, which started on Monday and runs until Thursday. As many as 900 Saudi graduates are able to choose from a wide variety of positions in different companies.

The event was inaugurated by Eastern Province Gov. Prince Saud bin Naif, who toured the pavilions and thanked the sponsors, including major companies like Saudi Aramco, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Samba Financial Group, National Commercial Bank and Banque Saudi Fransi, for making the event a success.

Representatives from the participating companies were seen conducting interviews with the students and helping them fill in application forms.

The university had earlier organised workshops to help students in preparing their resumes, have successful interviews and get the right job.

The career day is aimed at identifying current and future labor market requirements, and ensure the university’s courses are aligned with these needs.
