A total of 1,432 graduates from colleges and institutes of the Royal Commission for Jubail (RCJ) were honored at the King Abdullah Cultural Center in Jubail Industrial City on Wednesday.

The ceremony was held under the auspices of Prince Saud bin Naif, governor of the Eastern Province. Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan, chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) and a number of princes and officials were present.

Mosleh bin Hamid Al-Otaibi, CEO of the RCJ, said: “Prince Saud’s attendance at the graduation ceremony reflects the leaders’ attention to science and education.” Al-Otaibi congratulated the graduates, wishing them success in their lives.

The event includes college graduates from the departments of chemical, civil and mechanical engineering and manufacturing, industrial labs, electrical and electronic power engineering, polymer engineering, business management, accounting, marketing and office management, as well as the professional skills of Jubail Technical Institute.

Al-Otaibi said that the colleges and institutes sector is deeply committed, and has taken great strides forward in contributing to the development of a highly competent and professional Saudi workforce, as part of the Kingdom’s industrialization plan. Great emphasis has been placed on producing highly skilled technical and administrative manpower, especially field engineers, process plant operators, engineering/lab technicians, marketing professionals, secretarial staff and IT personnel.

The sector has earned an excellent reputation in the province by developing and grooming a new generation of Saudi youths capable of handling modern technologies and business processes with a high degree of efficiency and confidence.

“The rich accumulated experience gained over the years in education and human capital development enables our colleges and institutes to present themselves as an attractive place to all potential investors who require manpower training as part of their business processes in the Kingdom,” he added.

Ali Assiri, general manager of colleges and institute sector at the RCJ, said: “As we celebrate the graduation of a new qualified batch of Saudi youths, we know that there are brave soldiers who stayed up to protect the Kingdom and its borders,” assuring complete support to the Kingdom’s leaders and government.

Assiri also thanked the EP governor for his presence at the event.

The event included a documentary about the colleges and institute sector. The RCJY chairman honored first-rank holders, while he received a commemorative gift presented by students.
