100 days of King Salman show to air
A three-hour talk show on the first 100 days of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman will air on Sella television channel on Thursday.
Several well-known guests will be featured including lawyer Yahya Al-Majalli and businessman Mamdouh Al-Enezi.
“During his first 100 days as king, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has accomplished a great deal,” said Mohsin Shaikh Al-Hassan, host of the program.
“King Salman changed two health ministers in a brief span of time to make the ministry as responsive as possible to current needs.” He also lauded the transfer of Labor Minister Adel Fakeih to the Planning and Economy Ministry.
Al-Hassan said that as Riyadh governor, King Salman’s tenure “was also characterized by numerous achievements that would not have been possible under a lesser man.”
One of the highlights of King Salman’s governorship of the Saudi capital was the fact that under his watch, the United Nations chose Riyadh as the tenth-ranked smart city in the world, he said.
He said the guests would discuss several issues including the increase in population from 200,000 when King Salman took over as Riyadh governor, to the current 6 million.
They would also talk about the increase in the number of elementary, intermediate and secondary schools, and universities.
In addition, the guests would highlight how the city constructed major arteries such as King Fahd and King Abdullah roads, said Al-Hassan, who is also the host of Jobs on Air, a program on another television station.
