Egypt sentences former President Mursi to death

An Egyptian court on Saturday transferred the case of former Islamist President Mohammad Mursi to the Grand Mufti, who must be consulted before any death sentence can be imposed.

The court also ordered the same for Brotherhood leaders Khairat al-Shater and Mohammed el-Beltagi.
