The Cabinet congratulated on Monday Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman for receiving the First Class Merit Award from the Arab Parliament in Riyadh on Sunday.

The king received the award for his courage and service toward resolving regional Arab issues in general, and the Yemen problem in particular.

The Cabinet, during its weekly meeting, underscored the speech delivered by the king during his meeting with the speaker of the Arab Parliament, which called on Muslims and Arabs to unite and create a better world for everyone.

Later, the Cabinet passed a series of decisions including the restructuring of the National Narcotics Control Commission (NNCC) to include experts in education, treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts. The Cabinet also approved the appointment of Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayyan Al-Saud and Mansour bin Salih Al-Maiman as members of the NNCC for three years.

The Cabinet also authorized the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities to discuss a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Tourism and Culture in Malaysia.

The Cabinet authorized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss a memorandum of understanding in the area of political consultations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nicaragua.

The Cabinet further authorized the Ministry of Transport to discuss a memorandum of cooperation with the Maltese government on sea transport.
