Insurance companies must pay vehicle owners their dues after accidents within 15 days, said the Consumer Protection Association on Wednesday.

“They may extend the period to another 15 days after informing the client,” the association tweeted. “In total, the payment should not be delayed more than 45 days after the submission of all relevant documents and repair estimates,” the statement said. Violations can be reported on 8001256666.

An insurance specialist said motorists should learn how to make insurance claims at firms. He said 15 days would be calculated after the submission of papers.
