Saudi Arabia stands firmly and strongly against terrorism and the Kingdom’s security forces are capable of confronting terrorist attacks, said Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior.

“We have been successful in stopping many terrorist attacks,” the crown prince said while receiving foreign diplomats who came to greet him and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense.

Prince Mohammed thanked the ambassadors for condemning the terrorist attacks on two mosques in Qatif and Dammam. “Saudi Arabia will not be shaken by these incidents as we have seen bigger incidents before and things are now under control,” the interior minister said.

He said security forces would deal with new terror attacks forcefully while maintaining a kind of balance in order not to affect public life. “Terrorism has become a common thing that takes place in all countries.”

The ambassadors congratulated both the crown prince and deputy crown prince on their new appointments and wished them success. They also wished greater progress and prosperity for Saudi Arabia and its people under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.

Djibouti’s Ambassador to the Kingdom, Dya-eddin Bamakhrama, who is head of the diplomatic corps, spoke on behalf of the ambassadors. He thanked the crown prince and deputy crown prince for holding the reception.

“We cannot see the gathering of such huge numbers of ambassadors except in a few capitals in the world,” Bamakhrama said, while describing Riyadh as one of the busiest and most important world capitals.

While denouncing the two terrorist attacks in the Eastern Province, the ambassador said these are exceptional incidents in the Kingdom where security and stability prevail thanks to the vigil of its security forces.

“These terrorist attacks will not undermine the peace and security we all enjoy in the Kingdom. Saudi security forces do their job excellently well enabling everybody to sleep well,” he pointed out.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Nizar Obaid Madani and Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Protocols Azzam Al-Gain attended the event.

In a related development, a number of media persons in the Eastern Province denounced the terrorist attack on Al-Anoud Mosque in Dammam and said it was aimed at creating division among the Saudi society. “Attacking worshippers in a mosque is a big crime,” said Saleh Al-Ajrafi, radio journalist.
