Hail police arrested two suspects in an attempted kidnapping which involved forcing three children to get into a vehicle west of Moqaq, 60 km west of Hail.

The incident occurred Saturday afternoon following a tip from one of the victims immediately after the kidnapping.

Hail police spokesman Brig. Gen. Abdul Aziz Al-Zunaidi said police received a call from one of the victims stating that he was with two of his friends when two persons in a vehicle tried to lure them into the vehicle and then go a mountainous area on Madinah Road, but the three children succeeded in getting away from them.

“We actually lost contact with the victims but more than 30 security patrols were deployed in the expected location of the kidnappers and the children. We found the children safe and healthy Sunday at dawn with the help of some citizens,” said the spokesman.

Al-Zunaidi said Hail Gov. Prince Saud bin Abdul Mohsen gave immediate directions to intensify the search operations for the kidnappers.

“They were arrested within three hours of receiving the report although the police did not have the full information on the vehicle,” he added.
