The Council of Ministers on Monday, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, praised the positive cooperation shown by the legitimate Yemeni government with global efforts to alleviate the suffering of its people.

The Cabinet welcomed the final communiqué issued by OIC foreign ministers following their extraordinary meeting in Jeddah on Yemen, stressing the Kingdom’s support for all efforts to end the Yemeni crisis and its rejection of any foreign intervention in Yemen’s affairs without a request from the country’s legitimate government.

The Cabinet also commended the king’s message to the nation on the occasion of Ramadan, urging citizens to keep away from extremism and sectarianism.

It thanked the king for his assertion that confidence in Saudi citizens is limitless and that there will be no leniency for negligence and that anyone breaching security, religious and national solid principles would be held accountable.

Monday’s Cabinet meeting was briefed on the outcome of the landmark visit by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Russia and his meetings with President Vladimir Putin and other senior Russian officials.

The Cabinet hailed the strength of relations between the two countries and the Kingdom’s desire to deepen its cooperation with Russia in all fields with the aim of serving the interests of the two friendly peoples and enhancing security and stability in the region.
