He was met at the airport by Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman, princes, ministers, officials, and a group of citizens.

The king prayed at the Prophet’s Mosque and paid his obeisance to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, head of the Presidency of the two Holy Mosques, was also present.

Earlier in Jeddah, the king urged all governors in the Kingdom to improve services for citizens and residents at their 22nd annual meeting at Al-Salam Palace.

The governors present were from the Northern Border, Makkah, Jazan, Riyadh, Hail, Tabuk, Asir, Al-Baha, the Eastern Province, Al-Jouf, Najran and Qassim. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman were present.

Meanwhile, the king called Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sissi to offer his condolences over the death of Egyptian Attorney General Hisham Barakat during a terror attack.
