The inmates of the Prince Mohammed bin Naif Counseling and Care Center in Riyadh and Jeddah have been granted 12-day furlough to celebrate Eid Al-Adha with their families.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, has issued a directive to this effect, local media reported.

The move is aimed at facilitating family reunion and correcting extremist ideology, said an Interior Ministry spokesperson.

Such initiatives also help raise awareness about legal and religious perspectives, said the spokesperson.

The center also offers religious awareness lectures to the inmates and their families as part of the rehabilitation program.

Around 500 inmates of the center had been granted furlough to perform Haj last year.
