Two injured in Makkah landslide

Two people were injured and a four-story building was damaged in a landslide in Makkah on Friday.
The incident happened in the Al-Bathaa district, and the injured — a man and a woman — were admitted to hospital, Civil Defense spokesman Col. Abdullah Al-Harthi was quoted as saying by local media.
A committee is checking the safety standards of buildings in the area where the accident happened.
On Thursday, two pilgrims were injured after a fire broke out on the eighth floor of an 11-story hotel building in the Al-Aziziyah neighborhood of the holy city.
