The Ministry of Health launched a toll-free phone line, 937, for emergency health services for Haj pilgrims, commencing on Sunday.

The service, available around the clock, will be in Urdu, French, Turkish, Persian, English and Arabic.

The program dubbed “We take care of your health,” is an exclusive service meant for the guests of Allah during Haj. Pilgrims can reach the number through their mobile or land phones, and send an SMS which will receive immediate attention from health officials who man the operations center.

According to an official from the MoH, the communications center will receive complaints or suggestions from the callers and pass them onto the relevant authorities for prompt action.

The number of pilgrims coming from abroad for Haj this year, until Saturday, reached 1,372,148. Three hundred and eight of them have died.
