Ministry honors media for Haj coverage
The Ministry of Culture and Information in Jeddah honored the media and cultural delegations who participated in the 2015 Haj coverage, in the presence of Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al-Toraifi on Monday.
Al-Toraifi welcomed the delegations and greeted them on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, and expressed appreciation of the efforts of the media and cultural delegations for serving the pilgrims and the Islamic nation during Haj 2015.
He pointed out that the Kingdom thanked representatives of the media for their services: Saudi News Agency, Saudi News Today, Islamic News World and Arab media, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques which helped facilitate the Haj and Umrah pilgrims and gave services according to the needs, requirements of Muslim men and women who come to visit the Kingdom.
He further said that media today has become a major force in the development of communities, raising community awareness, contributing in building communities, defending the honor of nations, recording the completion of civilizations, and spreading deep awareness of the main principles and values.
He thanked all those who contributed to the success of media coverage for the pilgrimage season 2015 from Arab, Islamic and international media delegations, and also thanked the media of Saudi Arabia for their contribution and coverage during the Haj.
He also thanked media elites of various media organizations and social media that accompanied and presented on this great occasion, praising the efforts of staff at the Ministry of Culture and Information and its subsidiary bodies for their great effort in all sectors of the ministry.
He expressed hope that communications will continue and that the meeting is renewed and repeated on many occasions.
He also appreciated the efforts and role of Saudi news agencies for their efforts in highlighting Yemen and helping Yemeni people to recover and support them.
He also thanked the Kingdom for taking care of Yemeni and Syrian pilgrims in enabling them to perform the rituals of Haj.
