The United Nations Development program launched on Tuesday the “Digital Good” platform at an event with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir.

The platform, an idea from Saudi youth supported by the kingdom’s foreign ministry, aims to raise money towards achieving the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals that were adopted in New York by the General Assembly last week.

This web-based crowd-sourcing platform will allow individuals, companies and philanthropists to give online contributions to specific areas of assistance and projects as displayed on the platform.

Several of the young Saudi creators were at the launch of the program, along with UNDP Administrator Helen Clark, high-level officials in the Saudi foreign ministry and Bahraini Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa.
