4,000 Saudis quit govt jobs
In the past five years, 3,866 government employees at a number of ministries and government agencies have resigned.
According to government statistics, 40 percent of resignations came from employees in the health and education sectors between the Hijri years 1431 and 1435.
Male employees account for a larger number of resignations at about 85 percent.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Civil Service has called on 1,946 citizens who applied for administrative jobs to begin employment starting next Sunday. Applicants are required to visit branches of the ministry and its offices throughout the Kingdom to complete application procedures.
According to the ministry, applicants should carry their national ID and original graduation certificate, with two copies inclusive of the date of graduation and percentage score, as well as an educational certificate issued by the Ministry of Education for graduates of educational institutions from outside the Kingdom. Applications should also provide their transcripts.
In a recent statement, the ministry said that all applicants who do not report to its offices to complete application procedures during the nomination period, which ends Thursday, will be considered as turning down the employment opportunity.
