Irate hospital workers slam salary delay
Workers in a Riyadh hospital have complained about delayed salaries and the non-adjustment of benefits relative to experience and competence.
“First and foremost, our salaries have been delayed. Moreover, salary adjustments based on merits have been made in other hospitals in Riyadh, but not in our case,” they said.
They added that their experiences include several years of being on the job and the new knowledge they have learned over the years in their profession, in addition to their respective college and university educations.
Hospital management said, however, that the delay is not on the part of the hospital since the salaries had been released and were sent through the bank already.
“The delay is not on the part of the hospital. Rather, it’s in terms of the bank transfer,” said Ahmed Al-Ajani, head of the hospital’s Operations and Maintenance Department.
