K.A. CARE to help develop renewable energy program


King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A. CARE) will help develop renewable energy sources, industries and services related to renewable energy, and will provide relevant technical education and training in this field in the holy city of Madinah.

To this end Madinah Mayor Khaled bin Abdul Qader Taher met K.A.CARE president Hashem Abdullah Yamani here at the headquarters and discussed various ways and means of cooperation already agreed upon in the field of renewable energy, K.A.CARE media department official said here on Monday.

He added that their discussions followed up on major topics highlighted in the agreement already reached and signed between the K.A. CARE and Madinah Mayoralty earlier during the 5th world conference on cities and environment, which was held in the holy city a few months back.

They also touched upon on the best ways and means to achieve on time the objectives specified in the agreement that was aimed at conducting a joint study to integrate development of renewable energy in the holy city with special attention to the measurement of renewable energy sources, development of solutions and stations of renewable energy, development of relevant technical education and training, and the development of these industries and services related to renewable energy in Madinah region.

The two leaders also discussed a number of other energy-related issues for the holy city.
