Saudi national Turki bin Saad Al-Fasam has invented an armored security vehicle and a mobile security cabin which he dedicated to the Saudi leadership.

“I dedicate my two inventions to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman,” Al-Fasam said.

The King Abdullah City for Science and Technology (KACST) has given an award to Al-Fasam, who has patented his inventions.

Observers said that the inventions will be good additions to existing material in strengthening national security and defense capabilities in the Kingdom.

They claimed that the “inventions are a tribute to a number of government bodies such as the Ministries of Defense and Interior, among others, and manufacturers in the defense industry.”

“The inventions will stand us in good stead as we have been involved in securing the borders of the Kingdom against infiltrators,” they said.

Inventor-entrepreneur Ibrahim M. Alalim commended Al-Fasam for his inventions.

“He has a long way to go. I encourage him to do his level best in coming up with more inventions, not only for himself, but also for the country,” Alalim said.

He added that he encourages other aspiring Saudi inventors to keep coming up with something new.

“For sure they will be recognized by the appropriate bodies such as KACST for their achievement. If not, they shall have achieved self-fulfillment in their inventions,” Alalim said.

Alalim has invented the widely publicized polymer (Polykem Hydrogel PagriSAP) and a biotechnology that involves a liquid extract called Al-Raheef.

The polymer, which resembles pieces of salt, conserves water and increases agricultural production. It absorbs large quantities of water; if you put it in the soil, it will absorb water 600 times its own weight.

The biotechnology, on the other hand, breaks down the components of fat, crude oil and petrochemical products through Al-Raheef, which is needed in coming up with products useful in cleaning utensils, floors and marble.
