Kiswa back to its normal position

Kiswa

The lower part of the Kaaba Kiswa (the black cloth covering the Kaaba) which had been rolled up during Haj has been unfolded to its normal position.

This is the first Kiswa to be woven during the reign of Custodian of he Two Holy Mosques King Salman.

Mohammed Bajoudah, director of the Kiswa factory, said 10 workers from the factory spent five hours to unfold the portion which had been rolled up on Dhul Hijjah 9 (Sept. 22).

He said the Kiswa is usually rolled up to avoid damage and tampering during the Haj season.
