The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is confident that its strategic partnership with the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (MISK) would help develop the leadership skills of young people.

Irina Bokova, the director general of UNESCO, praised MISK’s role at the Ninth UNESCO Youth Forum that took place from Oct. 26 to 28 in Paris, and said the youth would now be able to let decision-makers hear their voices.

Bokova had earlier met with Bader Al-Asaker, secretary-general of the foundation, to discuss ways to strengthen the partnership between the two parties. Al-Asaker gave Bokova a gift symbolizing Saudi heritage and history.

The UNESCO Youth Forum opened its sessions with the participation of 10 young Saudis. Manar Al-Sakoub spoke about her experience in volunteering and how it shaped her life and developed her skills.

During the conference, a film was shown about how MISK was set up, and its work with several domestic and international bodies. The foundation is a national charity, devoted to developing leaders.

It focuses on the country’s youth and provides various avenues for skills development in the arts and sciences.
