Artists elated at meeting king
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman received on Wednesday a group of artists, journalists and intellectuals who paid him a courtesy call.
“It was great to meet the Custodian of the Two Mosques King Salman again after serving us as governor of the Riyadh region for several years,” Abdulaziz Al-Hazaa, a well-known Saudi artist, said.
The meeting was coordinated by the Ministry of Culture and Information.
Al-Hazaa expressed his gratitude in having been included in the group meeting the king, who served the Riyadh region as governor for several years.
“He remembered me. He broke into a smile as I approached him. He asked how I and my family were,” Al-Hazaa said.
Al-Hazaa, from Unaiza with nine children, added that his parents used to talk about the king’s transparency as Riyadh governor and that he worked hard for his constituents.
Al-Hazaa expressed his thanks to Adel Al-Toraifi, minister of culture and information, for including him in the group for an audience with the king.
Other members known in their respective fields also expressed their delight and happiness at meeting King Salman.
“It goes without saying that I am greatly honored to have been included to meet King Salman,” said Abdullah Al-Sadhan, well-known Saudi actor from Shaqraa.
He’s well-known for his various roles in the Saudi comedy “Tash ma Tash” along with fellow actor Nasser Al-Qassabi.
