Officials of Wallan and Dirab Park for Motor Racing during the opening ceremony of the Academy

WALLAN, the exclusive dealer for Hyundai in the central region, has announced initiating registration in (Hyundai Drift) Academy, recently launched by the company in cooperation with Dirab Park for Motor Racing, supervised by a team of trained Saudi and European experts experienced in this sport at the level of the KSA and the Middle East, and headed by Saudi Captain Saeed Al Maury.

Wallan and Dirab Park dedicated a link on social media and their Web sites; “http://ent-alb6al.com/ ” for those wishing to join the Academy and participate in the first edition of the Hyundai Drift Championship (You’re the Hero), where Academy supervisors will choose participants in the championship and ensure their eligibility, and validity of the information contained in registration forms, noting that the Steering Committee determined that the age group shall be between 18 and 25 years old, as a key requirement for admission to match the growing popularity of this sport among young people of this age.

This project comes under social responsibility programs of Wallan in order to enhance its community presence and have an active communal role within the framework of its activities to support the efforts of stakeholders, in cooperation with Dirab Park, which has experience and specialization of Motorsport in the KSA, in order to motivate young people to practice this sport within the allocated spaces with regard to the highest safety standards and under supervision of specialized trainers, for their protection and the society from practicing this sport in improper places.

Wallan will provide an opportunity for first place winner to represent Hyundai Group and drive their equipped racing motor for a whole season in all Drift events, under the name of “Hyundai Racing” team and at the expense of Wallan.

It is worth mentioning that Hyundai Drift Academy is of particular importance since it mainly aims to promote awareness of the significance of youth compliance with safety laws and regulations, and the necessity of practicing such hobbies in specialized places, as the KSA suffers from rising traffic accidents and huge social and economic losses due to some negative behaviors by young people, who need guidance and training skills to build a generation of heroes representing Saudi Arabia in regional and international forums.
