United we will crush terror: KSA
The Kingdom’s government and its people are standing united in the fight against terrorists aiming to undermine the country’s security, the Council of Ministers said on Monday.
The ministers condemned the attack on a mosque in Najran last week, which killed two people and injured several others. Such terrorist attacks have only served to reveal those who are behind attempts to disrupt the country’s peace and stability, they said in a statement carried by SPA.
At the outset, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, who chaired the gathering on Monday afternoon at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, briefed the ministers on his telephonic conversations with King Abdallah of Jordan, US President Barak Obama, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He also informed them of the outcome of his talks with Hassan Sheikh Mahmood, president of Somalia, Idriss Déby Itno, president of Chad, and his meeting with Philip Hammond, Britain’s foreign secretary.
After the meeting, Minister of Social Affairs Majid Al-Qassabi told SPA that the Cabinet discussed developments in the region and outcomes of international meetings and consultations.
