The Board of Grievances has announced that a group has been formed to help reduce the duration of litigation in the local courts.

“Hopefully this move will consequently improve the overall performance of the judicial system,” said Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, board chairman.

The group was formed in accordance with the decisions earlier made by the board.

He said, “The responsibilities of the group include the preparation of a strategic plan for an overall efficient office management.”

The group will also review the structures of the administrative council of the judiciary and the local courts, including the Administrative Court of Justice, he said. “The group will continue to exist as long as it’s necessary.”

Al-Yousef said there’s a need for a permanent committee in relation to the documents and in accordance with existing rules and regulations.

Saad bin Hamdan Al Wahaibi, head of legal training, said, “There’s a need to create additional rooms for various purposes such as meetings and conferences.” He said the Board of Grievances has been busy with the modernization of program and simplification of procedures in relation to litigation while ensuring justice without delay.
