Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud helds talks with Italy’s Prime Minister Matteo Renzi at al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday.

Both leaders discussed bilateral relations and ways to further strengthen ties between the two countries. Renzi underscored his country’s strategic and significant ties with Saudi Arabia during the talks. They also discussed regional and international issues.

Renzi first arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh on an official visit on Sunday evening, the state-owned Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

At the King Salman Airbase Airport, Renzi was received by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, also first deputy prime minister and the minister of interior, in addition to Minister of Social Affairs Majed al-Qssabi, Saudi’s Ambassador to Italy Raid Qarmali, and Mario Boffo, Italy’s ambassador to the kingdom among other officials.
