Robots to help end congestion in airports
The Department of Passports (Jawazat) will soon introduce the services of robots at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah to organize the movement of passengers.
The robots remotely controlled by the Internet can easily organize the queues using an attached sound amplifier.
They can also talk to passengers, listen to their complaints and forward them to the authorities concerned. The robots also supervise the performance of Jawazat officials.
“This will increase the productivity of the Jawazat personnel and boost their performances to better serve the passengers,” said a Jawazat official.
This service, which has already been introduced at King Khaled International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh, will soon cover other airports in the Kingdom.
