The Saudi security authorities found Iranian currency and large quantities of ammunition during inspection operations in Al-Qudaih town Thursday, Al-Arabiya said quoting an Arabic daily.

Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki, spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said the security authorities found military gear, equipment and materials; forged documents, cash including Iranian currency and large quantities of ammunition when the security personnel conducted a sweep of the Al-Qudaih town in Al-Qatif governorate Thursday.

Al-Turki added that the security men inspected a suspicious location where they found and seized a large quantity of arms and other military gear and materials. The seized items included wireless sets, forged documents and cash.

Security operations were increased following the recent killing of two security men who were fired at by an unidentified source in an agricultural area near Saihat city.
