Brussels police said on Sunday evening that people living in central districts should stay away from windows, as Belgian capital stays on high alert after last week’s Paris attacks.

Belgian media reported on Sunday that a restaurant in Brussels had been evacuated.

“The threat is considered serious and imminent,” Michel said Sunday, a day after the authorities raised the alert level in the capital from three to four.

The city’s metro system will stay closed and all schools will be shut on Monday, he said following after a meeting of the national Security Council to review the situation.
