Turkey accuses Russia of playing up military threat after downed jet

Russian honor guard carry the coffin with the body of Russian Lt. Col. Oleg Peshkov, after being transported from Turkey, at a mourning ceremony in Chkalovsky military airport outside Moscow, Monday, Nov. 30, 2015.
Turkey on Wednesday accused Russia of “exaggerating” a military threat that Ankara said does not exist, comments likely to further strain tensions between the two after the downing of a jet over Syria last month.
Turkish foreign ministry spokesman Tanju Bilgic also told a briefing that it was not possible to meet Russian demands for compensation over the downed warplane.
