The General Directorate of Passports has warned Yemeni citizens with visitor IDs in the Kingdom to avoid delaying the payment fee of SR100 for an extension in order to avoid a fine of SR500 as of the 23rd of the month. Payment of fees can be made through Sadad.

Meanwhile, the branch of the directorate in Makkah has completed all necessary preparations to carry out the royal order to extend the visitor ID issued to Yemenis in the Kingdom for another six moths, effective 20/3/1437 AH, under the direct supervision of the General Directorate of Passports director in the Makkah region, Lt. Khalaf Allah bin Abeedallah Al-Tuweirqi.

The process for extending the duration of the visitor ID starts with the payment of the SR100 fee via Sadad will last between 14/3/1437 AH to 23/3/1437 AH. After payment of the fee, the ID’s validity will be extended for another six months without the need to visit the directorate in person.

The host can then access his or her personal account on Absher and select “Print Visitor ID,” while clicking on the icon “Deliver documents of visitor ID,” which will allow the beneficiary to receive a message containing the request, followed by receipt of the ID via the Saudi Post service Wasel. Hosts who do not have their home addresses registered with the Saudi Post Wasel service will be prompted to enter their address online before completing further procedures.

According to the Passports Directorate, delays in payment of the extension fee after the deadline will not permit the visitor to extend his or her ID for any reason until the host logs in via Absher and requests the extension after payment of both the fee and the late fine.

Spokesman of the directorate in Makkah Col. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Hussein urged all hosts of Yemeni nationals who are not registered with Absher to quickly activate their accounts on the Ministry of Interior’s website in order to access the e-services offered, print the visitor ID, and allow for its delivery via Saudi Post.

After the deadline, violators of residency regulations will be penalized, he said, confirming no requests for extension or delivery of visitor IDs will be accepted in person as all services will be carried out electronically via Absher.
