As many as 620 Saudi productive families displayed their homemade products at a week-long local products exhibition that kicked off here on Thursday.

The event, Saudi Producers 3, at the Riyadh International Convention Center and Exhibition was organized by the Saudi Al-Hadbah Company under the aegis of Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar

The event was opened by Abdulrahman Al-Zamil, chairman of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), in the presence of the Riyadh governor.

According to him, RCCI offered the area to Saudi productive families free of charge as part of its efforts to encourage the community to boost their spirit of innovation and productivity.

“Such participation by productive Saudi families reflects the extent of interdependence in Saudi society,” Al-Zamil said, noting that creativity in production and sales are directly related to public interest.

He said, “I’ve felt the willingness and interest of the participants in their successful participation in such exhibitions and the benefits they gain through this expo.” He stressed that RCCI will issue certification of success for their role in the event held to encourage these families in their field of business.

He underlined the support of the major sponsors, including the Riyadh Governorate, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), the National Poultry, the Directorate General for Drug Control, the Saudi Organization for Industrial Estates, Technology Zones “Modon” and the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Al-Zamil expressed optimism that such an event will bring dozens of new productive families into the market. He underlined the significant role played by the business sector in supporting such small businesses.
