Egypt’s Q1 current account deficit at $4 bln vs $1.6 bln

Egypt’s current account deficit widened to $4 billion in the first quarter of the financial year 2015/16 compared with a deficit of $1.6 billion in the same period a year earlier, the central bank said in a statement on Wednesday.
The overall balance of payment deficit reached $3.7 billion, compared with a surplus of $410 million in the same quarter a year earlier, the statement said.
