Smuggling of 3.5kg gold jewelry foiled
A set of jewelry seized by the customs at the Causeway.
King Fahd Causeway customs officers have succeeded in thwarting an attempt to smuggle gold jewelry weighing 3.5 kg into the Kingdom hidden in a vehicle.
Deif Allah Al-Otaibi, director general of customs on the causeway, said that anti-money laundering laws require everyone to declare cash or precious metals worth more than SR60,000, or face penalties.
