In a bizarre incident, three Arab ministers missed an important meeting because of flying tempers inside the aircraft they were traveling in.

A fight involving three Saudi passengers caused an EgyptAir flight, bound for Riyadh, to return to the Egyptian capital, security sources have revealed.

On board were three Egyptian ministers — Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr; Minister of Housing Mustafa Madbouli and Minister of Education Hilali Sherbini, who were heading to Riyadh to participate in the third meeting of the Egyptian-Saudi Coordination Council.

Sources said the pilot was surprised when the cabin crew informed him about the fight.

He notified the airport authorities, who ordered him to fly the plane back to the Cairo airport.

The sources said that legal action against the three passengers was being taken.
