The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Transport collaborate on a project to send 665 Saudis abroad to study and work at the Ministry of Transport when they come back to the Kingdom after their graduation.

The Ministry of Education recently signed a partnership with the Ministry of Transport on sending 665 students in different disciplines to study abroad.

After graduation from their respective courses, the students will come back to the Kingdom and work at the Ministry of Transport.

Education Minister Dr. Ahmad Al-Issa and Transport Minister Abdullah Al-Muqbil signed the agreement.

The students will be leaving to study abroad under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program.

Al-Issa expressed delight in the partnership and lauded the achievements and projects of the Ministry of Transport, and its efforts in the field of infrastructure development, such as the King Abdul Aziz Public Transport Project (Riyadh Metro).

Al-Issa said the accord is consistent with the massive development which the Kingdom has so far achieved at all levels.

“We look forward indeed to a meaningful and productive result in sending the students abroad and we hope that they’ll make the most of it,” he said.

He expressed hope that the scholarship grantees will come back more enlightened and endowed with a broader perspective of life so that they can be of better service to the nation.

Al-Issa expressed hope that similar agreements could also be signed in the future on sending other Saudi youths abroad to learn more and enhance what they have learned from their teachers inside the classroom.

Al-Muqbil expressed happiness in signing the agreement “since it’s for the benefit of the scholarship grantees in particular and the nation in general.”

“We hope that the students will value their opportunity to study abroad. They will imbibe not only knowledge but will also broaden their horizons,” he said.
