The Education Ministry has warned teachers not to post online the funny examination answers of students, or for students to make any such remarks on their answer papers.

According to a report in a local publication on Monday, one such post discovered online was a student writing: “Teacher, please let me pass so that my father can buy me a PlayStation …”

Mohammed Al-Qaroon, an education supervisor, said teachers must be role models for their students. “This is unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated by the ministry.”

Abdulrahman Al-Joweed, a social activity supervisor, said principals must take action against teachers violating the rules. In addition, students must not be allowed to deface their papers because doing so could lead to disciplinary action.

Abdullah Al-Subeie, a teacher, said it was shameful that teachers were doing this. They should guide their students, not expose them, he said.
