Citizens, expatriates laud year of prosperity under King Salman
With the Kingdom celebrating the first year of prosperity under Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, citizens and expatriates alike applauded the anniversary on Wednesday saying it was a year of significant achievements.
One year ago, the oath of allegiance to King Salman was pledged.
The governors of all the regions expressed their deep pride and gratitude to King Salman for his great achievements accomplished at local, regional and international levels.
Joining them on the occasion, citizens too applauded the visionary leader.
Dr. Majed Abdullah Ali Hedayan, a legal consultant at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told Arab News, “King Salman brought in refreshing changes in internal policies and external affairs to usher in a new era of growth, peace and harmony.”
“During this period we attended and hosted many international conferences, effectively participated in the G-20 summit, and addressed security and developmental issues; under the visionary leadership we have more jobs and are working comprehensively on economic diversification,” he pointed out.
Mona Salahuddin Al-Munajjed, a prominent sociologist who has written several books on Saudi women, said King Salman is a proficient statesman, visionary leader and an avid reader, and under his visionary leadership the Kingdom did exceedingly well and is further marching on an enlightened path.
She added that King Salman believes strongly that Saudi women have a vital role to play in society.
Zeyad Abdullah, a Saudi student pursuing a bachelor’s degree, praised King Salman as a people’s leader who is making concerted efforts toward peace and prosperity, paying special attention toward educational development.
Mohammed Quaiser, a prominent Indian expatriate working here for decades, praised King Salman for streamlining the government and bureaucracy as well as handling security situations in the country and on its borders for peace and prosperity in the region.
Mohammad Ali, an accountant from Sri Lanka working here for years, said King Salman has committed his government to the welfare of everyone, especially the needy before the rich, as reflected in the budget recently presented to ensure balanced and comprehensive development.
