Hunger Games actor Jennifer Lawrence, known for her witty remarks and great sense of humor, sparked a debate on Twitter after many called her out over her conduct toward a reporter during a Q&A session at the Golden Globes last week.

After bagging the award for best comedy movie actress in Joy, Lawrence was addressing media personnel backstage and picked on a reported for being on his phone while asking her a question. “You can’t live your whole life behind a phone, bro,” she said. “You can’t live like that, you gotta live in the now.”

Reporters in the room seemed to be amused by the actress’ comment, as was the reporter himself. But when he continued the question and said “How do you see yourself for the Oscar night–” Jennifer interrupted him and said “We’re at the Golden Globes, if you put your phone down, you’d know that.”

Soon after this incident, many took to Twitter to shame JLaw for being rude to a foreign reporter:

‘love Jennifer Lawrence but she needs to apologize to that reporter like does she not realize that they keep their questions on their phones?’ tweeted lizzy @fxcklizzy

‘2016, the year everyone realized that Kristen Stewart is underrated and Jennifer Lawrence overrated’ wrote Claudia @cloudsofRK

‘Jennifer Lawrence criticising a guy for living life behind a screen seems dumb for someone who’s just won an award for being in a movie’ tweeted Felicity Morse @FelicityMorse
