Djibouti plans security pact with Kingdom
Head of the diplomatic mission and ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti in Riyadh, Dya-Eddin Said Bamakhrama, said his country will sign an agreement with the Kingdom in the near future to coordinate security cooperation between the two countries within the framework of military, political, strategic and economic cooperation.
The ambassador said King Salman has made unique and significant advances in foreign relations with different countries around the world, having received a number of world leaders in just one year, thus reaffirming the Kingdom’s leadership position in the world.
The president of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, was one of these visitors to the Kingdom, and was well received and welcomed by the king, as both leaders discussed important bilateral, regional and international issues, and put together the foundations of the relations between the two countries, he said.
Bamakhrama said his country aspires to boost relations with the Kingdom in the coming days in various fields. “We look forward to steady and significant development in the relationship between Djibouti and Saudi Arabia in all fields. The Saudi-Djibouti Economic Forum in Djibouti will see the establishment of a joint business council between businessmen to boost investments and economic relationships between the two countries.”
“The Kingdom has been a leader in the Islamic and Arab world, and is an important country worldwide, and its leadership and promising ministries and institutions will continue to advance and prosper,” he added.
