Labor Minister Mufrej Al-Haqabani has ordered action against recruiting firms which have allegedly refused to provide services, violating rules and regulations.

The minister gave the direction to various bodies in his ministry, following complaints in this regard, local media reported Saturday.

Al-Haqabani also directed follow-up action on a complaint by an employee that the facility he works with has delayed the wages of its workers.

The complaints were submitted during a meeting with the minister using the visual communication service the ministry launched recently.

The minister met via this visual communication service with a number of people from Jeddah, Rafah and Dawadmi and heard their complaints. He directed the departments concerned to quickly deal with their complaints and address each complaint individually.

He emphasized the importance of checking the effectiveness and interactivity of the electronic services provided by the ministry through its website, and to continue facilitating all the services for clients so that they complete their paperwork with speed and ease.

He stressed the fact that no establishment has the right to delay the payment of wages and salaries to its workers, whether citizens or residents. Workers have the legal right to transfer their services to another establishment without prior approval if the payment of their wages is delayed by over three months, he said.
