Gulf Cooperation Council Abdullatif Al-Zayani

Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abdullatif Al-Zayani said that the leaders of the GCC countries’ adoption of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman’s vision for the promotion of the GCC joint action in the Riyadh summit is an important step in this blessed march.

He said that the vision of King Salman aims to consolidate the GCC cooperation in various economic, political, social, military and security fields and strengthen the council’s role at the international arena. It also emphasizes the need to redouble efforts to improve the performance of the GCC departments to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of the GCC countries, and raise the level of coordination and coherence among the GCC countries, according to carefully studied steps and a timetable that does not exceed one year.

This came in a lecture delivered by Al-Zayani at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
