ISIS has been increasing its calls for Muslims to join its extremists in the lawless parts of Libya.

Algeria’s government is raising the alarm over what it describes as a large influx of Moroccans crossing its territory to reach Libya.

Without offering numbers, the Algerian state news agency reported Saturday that the country’s minister in charge of North African affairs had met earlier with the Moroccan ambassador to report the unusual number of people crossing from the Casablanca area in recent weeks.

ISIS has been increasing its calls for Muslims to join its extremists in the lawless parts of Libya, and Moroccans in general make up an unusually large number of its recruits.

Algeria told the ambassador that Moroccans who head to Libya without documentation will be sent home.
