IISJ student Fawaz passes away
Fawaz Ismail, 18, who battled for his life at the Erfan hospital for two days after being admitted on Friday night after being hit by a car, breathed his last on Sunday night.
The Indian International School Jeddah (IISJ) student was walking home after helping his side IISJ beat Al Nour International School 3-0 in the SIFF tournament by scoring two goals in the winning effort.
A speeding car hit him while he was crossing Sitteen Street on his way home. He lost consciousness and was admitted to Erfan Hospital on Friday. He never regained consciousness, as he died on Sunday night.
Fawaz was the second of the four sons of K. M. Ismail and Shahnaz. The other three sons are Shabaz, Faiz and Ijaz. Fawaz was to appear for his Plus Two (XII) public exams this March.
Fawaz was an able footballer and represented IISJ in the recently-concluded All-India CBSC Football Championship in Mumbai.
