Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal launched the logo of this year’s campaign, “Nation’s Imprint.” The drive aims to unite all segments of the community Kingdomwide.

In his address, Prince Khaled appreciated the efforts made by all toward this end and termed the occasion a historic moment in the era of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.

Prince Khaled expressed hope the youth would live up to the aspirations and ambitions of King Salman. The prince recalled the king’s achievements and accomplishments in such a short period of time.

This year, Prince Khaled said, the Makkah Governorate has drawn up a plan for youth, especially transforming the Makkah Youth Forum to work as an umbrella for all youth activities.

He said the program of the current year plans to target a million (male and female) youths through more than 150 events in 17 provinces and, accordingly, they want to perform voluntary work through Makkah Youth Society for Voluntary Work as the first specialized voluntary society.

He said: “Today, we launch the nation’s imprint campaign under the logo of ‘No to Takfeer, Yes to Thinking,’ ‘No to Immorality, Yes to Moderation.’ We also launch the program of youth values in all provinces to implement and organize the approved youth programs and activities.”

In this context, he appreciated sponsors and those caring for the youth programs across the Makkah Region.

Khaled bin Fahad Al-Harthi, secretary-general of youth sector development in Makkah region, said the secretariat plans to build an integrated system to support the region’s youth in partnership with the government and private sectors.

“Our top priority is to realize the vision of the Makkah governor in building the youth in the region and implant in him attributes of a strong and honest man,” he said.

He added that workshops and brainstorming sessions have proved to some extent that the youths were keen to serve their religion and homeland through non-traditional ideas and creative initiatives.

Al-Harthi affirmed that the door of proposals is open to all through social media affiliated with the secretariat.
