Clashes in Bollywood have been run-of-the-mill these days with one mega film releasing on the same day as the other one. There is no denying that there are only 52 Fridays present in a calendar year and at least 100 films are fighting for same dates. And that too when Republic Day, Independence Day, Eid, Dussera, Diwali and Christmas weekends are reserved for the bigwigs of the B-Town.

Like 2015, 2016 too would be witnessing such clashes what with films like Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’, Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ among others scheduled for the same day release.

The latest to get added is Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Te3n’ and his daughter-in-law Aishwarya’s ‘Sarbjit’. Big B confirmed the release of his movie through his microsite. It is well known fact that both Amitabh and Aishwarya share great camaraderie, it would be intriguing to see if either of them bows down. If not, then the clash would be inevitable.

The gossip mills are abuzz that King Khan wants to shift the release date of ‘Raees’ from Eid 2016. According to a report, SRK is miffed with the box-office numbers of his last release ‘Dilwale’ that clashed with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’. He is no mood to take a risk again by releasing his film with Salman’s ‘Sultan’. Now, will it then move to the Independence Day weekend? If it does, then what happens to movies like Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’?

Even debutants may not be spared. It is being said that Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan’s ‘Mirzya’ may have to vie with Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Azhar’.

Every film looks promising and has been generating quite some buzz too! Let’s wait and watch.
